ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- An investigation into work being done at the city-county crime lab has come back without any evidence of misconduct.

Back in December, Syracuse's Deputy Police Chief filed a complaint with the American Society of Crime Lab Directors, claiming that cases from the DA's office were getting priority over Syracuse Police.

However, on Wednesday, District Attorney William Fitzpatrick announced that an investigation into those claims found them to be baseless. Fitzpatrick also addressed rumors that the allegations against the lab were connected to a "feud" between himself and the Chief of Police, saying it "could not be further from the truth."

The New York State Inspector General is still investigating the police department's claims.

Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler did respond, saying he believes that it is inappropriate to comment on the investigative report while the Inspector General has an ongoing investigation into the complaints. He did not address the rumored "feud."
