A bird in the hand thanks to a robot that can perch
Land-bound robots? Been there, done that. Researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are taking things up a notch with a bird-style bot capable of autonomous flight. By replicating the features that enable birds to make a soft landing -- including the flapping wings that help them change direction -- the researchers developed the first micro aerial vehicle (MAV) capable of swooping down to perch on a human hand. The craft forgoes a vertical tail, which birds also lack, to allow for enough agility to land on a small surface. Articulated wings help the robo-bird complete the maneuver successfully, by first gliding into position and then pitching up and slowing down. Who knew perching was so complicated? Besides just providing a super-nifty party trick for these lucky researchers, the autonomous aircraft could be used in urban surveillance, where a small size would come in handy. A rp idea...
Okay so I had an idea for a roleplay and I thought I would do an interest check. I have created roleplays on other sites but never on rpg.
In a victorian-ish fantasy world (airships and stuff but no cell phones or cars) there is a murder of a very wealthy and well known business man. The roleplay would focus around the detective, his assistant and the group of suspects. Unfortunately everyone, even the detective themselves could be possible suspects. The group kind of get together with the detective kind of in the lead (since it would be their area of expertise) to prove each ones innocence to the police and the public. Yet one of them IS guilty. While trying to prove themselves innocent with the help of the group each person will look at the others and wonder 'did YOU do it?' Eventually the case must be solved while keeping your suspicions close to your heart, only sharing them with someone you absolutely trust. People find friends, some could fall in love, and enemies could be made. All while tensions rise inside the mansion of the deceased that the group has been house arrested in.
Basically a who dunnit rp. The end would be the finding of the murderer. It would have a few suspects that are story important to be played, and then a couple slots open for other characters who might not be suspects, or could be but aren't story important. These people would be the few that could die from finding out secrets etc. Everyone could have up to two characters.

Dayana Mendoza Fired on Celebrity Apprentice
Dayana Mendoza's luck finally ran out this week on Celebrity Apprentice.
A current six-time boardroom veteran and one-time target of Lisa Lampanelli racial slurs, Dayana took charge as Team Forte's project manager this week.
Arsenio Hall stepped forward and led Team Unanimous to victory.
Dayana was in trouble from the start, as Clay Aiken took over the creative process and Lisa was just ... being Lisa. She threw a tantrum and stormed out.
On the plus side, Clay and Lisa bonded over their collective frustrations with Dayana.
Arsenio and Aubrey O'Day exchanged many evil looks, meanwhile, but Aubs' "Hollaback Girl" cheerleader theme for the song won out ... and won the task.
O'Day dominated the spotlight and discounted her teammates in the process, but when you win, the charity getting the prize money won't be complaining.
In the boardroom, Lisa and Clay threw Dayana under the bus, and after so many close shaves this spring, The Donald sort of reluctantly sent her packing.
